In every small town, the sound of music has the power to uplift, connect, and transform lives and communities.
The Music Education Scholarship Fund is established in loving memory of a devoted family of music teachers, whose legacy once resonated through a community where pupils learned piano, theory, and music history. With their passing, the community now faces a silence where music once thrived.
This fund seeks to inspire and educate a new generation of passionate educators who will return to small towns to teach privately, ensuring that music education continues to flourish. It is both a tribute to the past and a promise for the future — supporting students who aspire to study music and share their gifts with communities in need of inspiration and instruction.
What we fund
The Fund provides scholarships to students who demonstrate a commitment to studying music at an accredited institution, and who intend to return to a small community to teach music privately. This includes, but is not limited to, instruction in piano, voice, or other musical instruments.
How the Fund is run
The Fund is administered by a Board of Trustees, which reviews applications and selects recipients, ensures the Fund is managed in accordance with its stated purpose, and oversees the investment and disbursement of funds.
It is supported entirely by donations, bequests, and other contributions. All contributions are used exclusively for the purposes set out in the charter.
